All business certificates (commonly known as "doing business as" or "DBA" certificates) are filed with the Town Clerk. The DBA files allow consumers to identify and locate the proprietor of a business that goes by a name other than that of the proprietor. Once filed, a certificate is valid for 4 years. The fee for filing is $75.
Business Certificate filing (including 1 certified copy) is $75. Withdrawals, discontinuances, changes, etc., (including 1 certified copy) are $15.
Violations of these provisions shall be subject to a fine of not more than $300 for each month during which such violation continues.
