I was a close contact to someone who has COVID-19:
A close contact is a person who was within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes to someone who was infectious and who has tested positive for COVID-19. A close contact is someone only considered exposed to the virus, but they have not tested positive and they have not become and may not become infectious.
You must stay home/quarantine if:
You are unvaccinated (Note: vaccination is the BEST way to protect yourself from severe illness and hospitalization)
You are not "Up to Date” on your vaccinations for which you are eligible: You received your second Moderna or Pfizer vaccination OVER 6 months ago or you received a primary J&J vaccination OVER 2 months ago AND you are over 12 years old and have not received a booster
How long do I need quarantine?
Quarantine for 5 days
You must continue to wear a mask for an additional 5 days after your 5 day quarantine is over
What do I need to do if I am a close contact but had a booster or received a second dose of Moderna or Pfizer less than 6 months ago or a primary J&J dose less than 2 months ago?
Wear a mask around others for 10 days.
Test on day 5, if possible.
If you develop symptoms get a test and stay home.
