[ARCHIVED] EAST-SIDE WATER SYSTEM FLUSHING

Untitled design (12)

Beginning Monday, October 24th, 2022, weather permitting, water main flushing of the Town’s east-side water system will be taking place during the day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. over the course of a two-week period.

The east-side system consists of all streets east of Washington Street, Grove Street and Main Street, including the west side of Main Street from Symmes Corner up to the Medford line.

Water main flushing signs will be posted each day in the general areas to be flushed (not on each street). Please refer to the schedule posted on the Town’s web site. Day 1 will be October 24th, weather permitting.

During flushing, residents should refrain from using water for drinking, dishwashing, and laundry as some discoloration of water may occur. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears. If the problem continues, please call the Water and Sewer Department at 781-721-7109.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience, and we acknowledge your continued support in our efforts to improve the water quality in the distribution system.

Thank you.
