What: The Town of Winchester is hosting listening sessions to identify Town residents access preference and priorities. These are a part of the Town effort to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Massachusetts accessibility requirements.
When & Where: There will be two sessions on Wednesday, May 22. The first is at 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. and the second is from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Who Should Attend: Any Winchester resident, senior or otherwise, who has a preference about the accessibility of Town properties should attend. Agencies and associations that provide services for people with disabilities are also urged to attend. The discussions will center around how to make Town sites and programs more usable by people with disabilities and health conditions that limit full involvement in Town activities.
Format: The Town Accessibility Consultant will discuss the preliminary findings, seek feedback from Town residents, and listen to accessibility experiences at Town assets. This informal approach assures that all who attend will have an opportunity to participate.
Key People: For the Town, Meg White, in the Engineering Department, is the Project Manager. For the Town Consultant WT Group, LLC Accessibility Practice, John McGovern is the Project Manager.
To assure an appropriate size meeting space, please RSVP to Meg White at mwhite@winchester.us
