Beginning Thursday evening, May 9, 2019, the Town will start the nighttime schedule for the remainder of the water main flushing of the Town’s middle low water system from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. in your neighborhood.
Water main flushing signs will be posted in the areas to be flushed. The attached schedule lists the areas to be flushed by the day. May 9th is the date for Day 8 flushing. Please check the Town’s web site for updates as the schedule may change at any time.
The middle low water system consists of streets west of Washington Street, Main Street and Grove Street, and streets east of Cambridge Street.
During flushing, residents should refrain from using water for drinking, dishwashing, and laundry as some discoloration of water may occur. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears. If the problem continues, please call the Water and Sewer Department at 781-721-7109.
