Permits
The building department is accepting applications for building, gas, plumbing and electrical. The permit applications may be dropped off in a box located at the rear door closest to the pond. The fee schedule is located in the box, you may call the building department if you need assistance figuring out the fee. Payment by check only. Make checks payable to the Town of Winchester. The permit applications will be picked up throughout the day, Monday through Thursday 8:00-4:00, Friday 8:00 – 12:00. Please do not leave permit applications or plans when the Town Hall staff is not working.
Inspections
The building department will do inspections on a limited basis based on need and safety to insure that each dwelling has a working kitchen, a working bathroom, heat and electricity. All other inspections will be done at the Inspectors discretion. Inspectors may be reached Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 9:30am by calling 781-721-7115.
