[ARCHIVED] PLANNING BOARD: Spring Town Meeting Articles

The Winchester Planning Board will hold a public hearing pursuant to MGL Chapter 40A, Section 5, to discuss proposed changes to the town’s zoning bylaws.


Three articles are proposed for the Spring Town Meeting of 2020 (1) AMEND Section 9.5.8 of the Zoning Bylaw by replacing "special permit" with "site plan." (2) APPROPRIATE $30,000 from FREE CASH to study the barriers to development in the north Main Street area from Skillings Road to Woburn (3) ADD the Disability Access Commission as a review authority to all special permits, site plans reviews, and variance applications. Additionally, the Planning Board will be reviewing one citizen’s petition to AMEND Section 7.3.10 and 7.3.12.3 to change the by-right and special permit heights in the North Core to 40’ and 60’ respectively.


The complete text relative to each of the proposed changes is available for inspection at the Town Clerk and the Town Planner’s Office at Winchester Town Hall located at 71 Mt.
