The League of Women Voters in collaboration with Winchester High School will present an in-depth discussion of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965 and its legacy with adult and student participants. All are welcome to attend. Due to copyrighted materials, this event will not be recorded. Co-sponsored by the Harvard Club of Boston, Network for Social Justice, Winchester Historical Society and Winchester Public Library.
Experience Soundscape Visions at Wright-Locke Farm on February 29! You will be immersed in the compelling story of “What I See”, a visual tale of catastrophe and emerging hope created with artwork in response to war by Ukrainian children. The artists and musicians use a large screen and live music to create immersive storytelling with music by J.S. Bach and original compositions by Ara Sarkissian and Alexander Vavilov. Live sound reactive video art by François-Xavier de Costerd, AI-generated art, and poetry by Stephen Levin along with original artwork by Ukrainian children and local artists.
